1968 Fender Telecaster (modified)

2-Tek Bridge
phase switch

At one time had a Bigsby and non-Fender tuners installed.
Tuners have been again replaced with era correct Fenders by
Re-Tunes.

What's a "2-Tek Bridge"?,  you ask ....

Stock Telecaster bridges (and most other electric guitars) have a bridge block that is
common to all six strings. As such, the vibrational frequencies that are transmitted to the
bridge block interact with each other.  At least that's the theory.

A 2-Tek Bridge is a high end (and expensive) retrofit assembly that affords each of the six
strings to have individual and isolated bridge blocks.  The result is greater clarity of each
string's vibration and greater sustain.

For some time I thought (incorrectly) that 2-Tek was no longer in business, however I've
discovered that the company is alive and well.  More may be read about this unique bridge

HERE  .   Some artists using the 2Tek Bridge may be viewed  HERE.

This 1968 Telecaster with the 2-Tek bridge is one of the nicest sounding electrics we've had
in our shop.  It's also a sweet player as well.
